Re: Upload Uncapped Please

It seems that my working broadband was short lived.
I've had a download speed of 0.9 Mbs all day today, looks like there is a fault after all.

Re: Upload Uncapped Please

I've rebooted the router and still no joy. This has been going for several months now, I thought it was sorted but it isn't. I have just placed an order for fibre, if the fault isn't fixed  I will be cancelling the order. I'm fed up of this now.

Re: Upload Uncapped Please

Router stats before you rebooted would have been good to see ?
What was the S/N up/down when you were having problems ?
I would need to check, but I would like to think that the upload sync would be higher than 888 with interleaving on given the margin of upload S/N you currently have.

Re: Upload Uncapped Please

The upload maximum of 888kbps with interleaving on is technology (chipset) related and not dependent on signal to noise margin ratios. It's akin to the maximum download of 7616kbps with interleaving on that was common on ADSLmax with some routers.

Re: Upload Uncapped Please

Hi there,
Can't see anything awry with the profiles on BTs side or ours, though now there's an order on the line we can't raise any faults I'm afraid. I've checked the order though and there's a confirmed appointment for the 7th June so fibre won't be long.
I'm guessing a reboot of modem and router doesn't help with the slow speeds? Does a BT speed test show anything odd, profile wise?

Re: Upload Uncapped Please

Will the engineer who is coming to install the fibre make sure that everything is working correctly?
like the line and equipment etc?
Resetting the router cures the fault temporarily and BT speedtester doesn't work  it's never worked and yes I have java installed.

Re: Upload Uncapped Please

Hi RyanGould,
the engineer will just check that the modem he installed is in sync.
