@daniellewin89 - Is your router switched on?

Re: Upgrading router firmware problem

PlusNet seem to have forgotten my request of 29 April for the same firmware update and put a request of 1 May in front of it. Is the process really as haphazard ('luck of the draw") as it seems?

Re: Upgrading router firmware problem

There's no real need for a replacement router for a firmware update which is why we wanted to push through the firmware update.

Re: Upgrading router firmware problem

I tried a hard reset, unplugging it and turning back on but it is stuck with a solid red power light and a flashing green Ethernet light. It was on from 10am until 3pm also, so I'm not sure you can detect it from your end anymore?

Re: Upgrading router firmware problem

Sorry, that was indicated to me, I didn't know that you were stuck with a red power light. That's fine, the replacement router should be with you as quickly as we can get it out (bearing in mind the Bank Holiday on Monday).

Re: Upgrading router firmware problem

Sorry Chris , I've been away and was unable to answer your question.
It was 10.2.5.2 that I was trying to update to but I see it's been done now.
Thank you.

Re: Upgrading router firmware problem

My WD MyBook Live became unavailable and the help at WD said to make sure firmware is the latest.
I have the TG582n FTTC with firmware 8.C.M.0.
Please push the update down to my router.
I am surprised that there isn't a utility in the router for this like my old Netgear router had.

Re: Upgrading router firmware problem

There is a tool to do this here http://products.plus-payh.co.uk/firmware/
We generally push firmware updates manually if there is a problem using this tool.

Re: Upgrading router firmware problem

Thank you.
What is the difference between Plusnet - FTTC - TG582n (with USB port) - 10.2.5.2  and Plusnet - FTTC - TG582n (with USB port) - 10.2.5.2.FO  ?
My problem is that since I upgraded to Fibre Essentials and started using the Plusnet - FTTC - TG582n my WD NAS could no longer access the internet and I therefore no longer had remote access to it.  It worked fine with Plusnet BB using a Netgear router.
WD suggest assigning manual port forwarding to fix this but I cant see how to do this with the FTTC - TG582n.
Can I tell the router to allow internet access for the WD NAS?
