Upgrading router firmware problem

Hi I currently have the Technicolor TG582n (FTTC), I've tried upgrading the firmware from 8.C.M.0 to 10.2.5.2.FO, however it doesn't seem to work, It goes through the installation process but stops and says it didn't work. I'm on windows 8.1 running the upgrade tool in windows 7 mode.
Is it possible to have it remotely pushed?
thanks

Re: Upgrading router firmware problem

Try this upgrade tool - http://www.binarybob.plus.com/thomson/Windows%207%20Upgrade%20Tool.zip
I think when I tried to upgrade mine, I had to set it to XP Compatibility using the original upgrade tool.

@daniellewin89
Yes we can push an upgrade through for you.
I've flagged that to the right person here and will do my best to give you a heads up when it's been done.

Re: Upgrading router firmware problem

Like daniellewin89, I would like to upgrade my router (Technicolor TG582n (FTTC)) software (from 8.C.M.0 to 10.2.5.2) and wonder whether I could also have it pushed? I'm also running a computer on Windows 8.1.

Re: Upgrading router firmware problem

Hi dags,
That should be fine.
I've passed that on and it will most likely be picked up tomorrow.

Re: Upgrading router firmware problem

Dear Mr Walker
You kindly said two days ago that my request would probably be "picked up" the following day. However, the firmware version of my router remains the same. Do I need to do anything else to have my requested acted on?

Re: Upgrading router firmware problem

We're doing this now, please do not switch off your router. You may notice a disconnection.

Re: Upgrading router firmware problem

Hi Chris,
I restarted my router because I thought it had just dropped its signal. Hope it hasn't caused a problem. If you need to start the process again, I'll know what happening now.
Thanks

Re: Upgrading router firmware problem

@daniellewin89 - When would be a good time for us to put this through again? It's really important that we have no interruption with regards to the router through the firmware upgrade process.
@waynem41 - Would you be looking for the same firmware to be pushed?
