Up/Down speed difference

My ping is about 120ms, my download is around 120k and upload is around 300k. Now this is very strange and something is amiss. Checked all filters etc. and line connections. Is there anything that should be blatently obvious that I have missed before I try customer support?

Re: Up/Down speed difference

what package you on?
have you gone over your usage limit and being capped to 128kbps?
whats your ip profile maybe you have had a low sync event that has droped this check here on bt http://www.speedtester.bt.com/ log in is <your pn username>@plusdsl.net and also see what PN have you profiled at https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed you need to log in to beable see this.
If both profiles are normal and with you giving a ping result i persume you did the speed check at http://www.speedtest.net/ can you try the the http://www.mybroadbandspeed.co.uk/ speed checker just to make sure its not speedtest playing up.

Re: Up/Down speed difference

Hi Bob,
It's nothing to do with your package or the amount that you have downloaded.
You've had what we call a sync blip.  Because your rotuer has reconnected at a very slow speed, which has caused BT to profile your line at a very slow speed.
I'm afraid that I'm not able to see what your current synchronisation/connection is as you're currently offline.
