Re: Unlimited from Plusnet - A load of off topic posts

Not if someone was wondering if their usage was low enough to go on to Essential!

Re: Unlimited from Plusnet - A load of off topic posts

I just come across to this site: http://www.thinkbroadband.com/news/5630-plusnet-in-push-to-join-the-six-providers.html
Essentials Fibre (Market 2/3) FTTC £15.99 18 months 40GB
(unmetered midnight to 8am) 38 Mbps
Essentials Fibre (Market 1) FTTC £22.99 18 months 40GB
(unmetered midnight to 8am) 38 Mbps
Unlimited Fibre (Market 2/3) FTTC £19.99 18 months Unlimited 76 Mbps
Unlimited Fibre (Market 1) FTTC £26.99 18 months Unlimited 76 Mbps
I thought UNLIMITED is on both 38 & 76 Mbps. Look like anyones who had FTTC 40/10 will be worse off than those who had FTTC 80/20

Really don't know what you're getting at here? Why would those on 40/10 be worse off?
Unlimited will be provisioned on the 80/20 (up to 76Mbs service) where it's worthwhile, those with speed estimates under 40Mb will be on 40/10.

Re: Unlimited from Plusnet - A load of off topic posts

What I am saying is those who are on 40/10 will be capped at 40GB with £15.99 a month while those who are on 80/20 will be UNLIMITED for £4 extra @ £19.99, so it overall worse off for those who are on 40/10 (They probably better off with 80/20 instead) My friends will be disappointed to learn that their FTTC of 40/10 is no chance to take unlimited !
I think Plusnet should be Unlimited on both 40/10 and 80/20 FTTC.

what you're saying doesn't make sense and appear to be spreading FUD. There are two products anyone with FTTC can choose either.

Re: Unlimited from Plusnet - A load of off topic posts

Last time I checked a day was 24 hours.
If it had said Daytime, the question about night would have been valid.
I bet Plusnet are getting fed up with the nitpicking and the same questions being asked over and over. If there was less dross and off topic comments in this topic, maybe those coming to read this topic fresh might be able to find the answers!

wonders if my post code would give a est as to if 40 or 80 service would be gained.  on 60 with vm an poop all but 3mb up as they cant cope with upstream qos even at a 10/0.5 ratio let alone 10/1 they say is on way

You'll have to get your cancellation in before the end of this week - You've got 30 days from when VM notified you about the price rise, not from when the cost goes up...

Re: Unlimited from Plusnet - A load of off topic posts

Will those who stay on the old packages get the same old (complicated) traffic management rules?
Currently I get a 250GB limit and quite honestly I can't get close to that.  Cheesy

Re: Unlimited from Plusnet - A load of off topic posts

I don't think they will change any of the legacy packages.
They've got to do something with those traffic management boxes they spent all the money one  Smiley
