Understanding synch speed

Hi.
My router says it is synching at 8064kbps. It has been at that speed for almost a week.
However, when I go to https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed, that page says my speed 'based on my synch speed' is 3000.
This ties in with the actual throughput I'm getting now, which is around 2800kbps.
My only question is, is the 3000 reported on the link given something I (or PN) have control over, or do I just have to wait for the 'system' to realise that I'm synching at 8000, and adjust itself?
Thanks
Roger

Re: Understanding synch speed

The speed show at the link you've give should match the IP profile when you run a BT speedtest. I'd suggest having a read of the information on Jameseh's blog for more info on how these work.
I'll go dig out the link to it unless someone else posts it first Wink
