when trying to play games online my experience is terrible with constant lag, after recieving some good help and info from some users in the gaming section it appears to be my bad upload speed, bad ping speed and i may possibly have interleaving on my line.
could a mod help me with getting my upload speed uncapped and any help possible getting a better online gaming experience?
BT speedtest results:
download speed - 1.19
upload speed - 0.33
ping latency - 49.50

Do you have a BT master socket with a removable lower faceplate
If you have can you plug the router into the test socket behind it via a filter - best to leave it until it is daylight before doing it - and report the stats again
Regarding your upstream speed can you put the details in here http://usertools.plus.net/exchanges/ and see if it says anything about "BT have advised that this exchange is enabled for WBC on 21CN"

The good news is that you are on 21CN so the upload can be uncapped but before requesting that we need to fix the problem
The first thing you need to do is sort out your internal wiring
Can you describe how many sockets you have
Can you post a picture of the wires attached to the removable faceplate or at least describe the number and colours
Note to attach a picture to the post click on Additional Options and Attachments (lower left of the posting window)

A few more things
I think that the socket next to the BT Socket is a Sky socket so isn't or shouldn't be a problem but I don't know how that is wired in to the telephone line
Regarding the wiring my first thought is that the surplus wires being wound round the cable is cable of creating an induction loop which could easily affect the signal
Can you check if the other sockets are the same
When you say that the orange blue and white wires are connected is that 2 or 3 wires

However I would raise a ticket (assuming that you are happy with leaving the phone and router connected to the test socket) asking for the Plusnet profile be raised to suit the BT IP profile and also (better a separate ticket to avoid confusion) ask that your upload be uncapped
This is a direct link to where you raise the required tickets which they call questions
https://www.plus.net/wizard/?p=wizard&page=22883&wizard_id=38
Finally is it a rented flat or one you own. I ask because it may be better to leave well alone if it is rented.

when i tested with the test socket it stated that i should get between 1.2mb and 4mb but my actual speed was still the same, but outwith the test socket it says i should only get 1 - 2mb.
