Hi just like to say that I have been unable to find a way to reply to a topic started but DID find that I could click on 'new topic' so here goes. I am at the moment becoming rather fed up with all the JUNK MAIL that I am now receiving since 'Force9' security leak. Being a femail I am not interested in Viagra or extending a certain part of my anatomy that I do not possess and undesirable females asking me to f*** them. Surely there should be some kind of SPAM FILTER on FORCE9 WEBMAIL to remove and stop these from coming. I WOULD HATE TO THINK THAT YOUNG CHILDREN COULD BE SUBJECTED TO THIS. As the security leak was caused by 'FORCE9' surely they can do something??? As they all seem to originate from America being priced in dollars, could not all e-mails from America be blocked??? At the very least I would like to see a Spam Filter that is easy to use and find on FORCE 9 Webmail if other providers can do this why not 'Force 9'
Alison.
Alison.

Hi Alison,
You can find the reply button towards the bottom right hand corner of the previous post.
Sorry to hear that you are still suffering with spam, there are a number of ways to help combat this. The main one is to turn off the 'catch-all' feature of your mailbox and then you will only receive emails addressed to specific addresses that you have set up.
I'd suggest having a read through my blog post which has some advice on how to use the Manage My Mail tool effectively. You'll need to remember to change any of the links from plus.net to f9.net.uk
I hope this helps.

I had never had spam prior to the webmail hack last May. After that all my spam same to the same address - username@username.plus.com - which was an address I never used or gave out. I did however want to kep the catchall facility. Following advice on these forums from another PlusNet customer (pjemmanuel to give him credit where it's due!) I renamed my catchall on the Manage My Mail facility by creating a new address of "somethingelse"@username.plus.com and, after allowing 6 hours for this to get established in the system I redirected all mail to username@username.plus.com to abuse@blackhole.plus.com (also via the Manage My Mail facility). I then turned off the PlusNet Spam filter.
I have had no further spam for several weeks since then. If I get any then I shall either blackhole any necessary specific address or change my catchall again if the spammers have worked out what "somethingelse" is. I just dion't see the need to turn off the catchall at the moment when it is useful to me.

Were you actually reading the topic you wanted to reply to? I wondered since the new topic button which you found appears only when viewing the Index.
I've attached part of a screenshot showing where the post a reply button is located on the bottom (and top) purple banners when reading a topic.
