Re: Ticket #45903488 Calls dropping connection

That sounds promising, a hawk is a testing device that phone engineers tend to use and if he's checking the wiring back to the exchange that in our opinion is what needs to be done so do let us know if you hear anything further from them. Otherwise I'll keep checking for notes on our side.
IMO I still think there's an issue at the exchange but at least Openreach are headed in that direction.

He did say that the exchange maybe the problem but he called someone while here and was told they had a simular fault last week where the HR fault was so small he had the check the wiring all the way back , maybe he will put some copper in there on the way instead of all that ALU i have lol

Thanks for the detailed update, yes I'd guess either a lift and shift or a tie pair modify could be the next step...

Re: Ticket #45903488 Calls dropping connection

I've had a report back now to say that some cabling work completed at the exchange at 14:11.  This may mean that there are outstanding tasks and that work is still underway. Just wondering if you've had the chance to test out if calls are still causing the ADSL connection to drop.

Re: Ticket #45903488 Calls dropping connection

Nothing further has come through on the notes since my last update so I've rejected a further clear and passed the fault back. I'll continue to keep an eye on this for you.

Re: Ticket #45903488 Calls dropping connection

Yes, Openreach do want to arrange a visit as they've not been able to identify a fault at the exchange I'm afraid.
Can you let me know when you'd be available for this please? The slots as usual are AM = 08:00 to 13:00 or PM = 13:00 to 18:00 Mon-Fri.

Re: Ticket #45903488 Calls dropping connection

Next Monday Adam is this the best they can do , i mean they turned up yesterday within hours of the rejection and without having to book an appointment.
They are dragging their heals now because its not as clear cut as they would like or they have to replace something that will cost them money in man hours or hardware.
