Throughput speeds

Hi, I wonder what kind of throughput speed you would find acceptable on a connection synched at 6500kbps? I think there has been a slight dip in my throughput speeds lately but it's nothing major, tho 2700 does seem a little low in comparison to my usual throughput speeds. I have raised a ticket to be on the safe side. Perhaps the BT throughput speed dropped. ... the joys of maxdsl  Roll_eyes

Re: Throughput speeds

Your IP or Bras profile (which determines your throughput speed) will be shown in a BT speedtest (www.speedtester.bt.com) and also in High Speed Broadband under connection settings on the Member Centre page.
This can be affected by any resyncing at a lower rate and it only needs to happen once for BT to pick it up and change the IP profile. It can then take 3 -> 5 days to recover but relies on your remaining on a higher sync for all of that time.

Re: Throughput speeds

Hi there,
I've replied to your ticket.
I'd suggest trying to run a BT Speedtest from http://www.speedtester.bt.com and see what results this gives you.
