Throughput issue

Hey all..
I seem to have an issue with my line speed:
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test:  -provides background information.
    Your DSL connection rate: 4000 kbps(DOWN-STREAM),  448 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 3500 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 110 kbps
Downstream  Upstream
Rate (Kbps): 4000  448

SNR Margin (dB): 7.3  21.0
Attenuation (dB): 44.0  22.5
Output Power (dBm): 12.3  19.5
Connection Up Time :  46 hour, 35 min, 38 sec
I have not rebooted myself for a long time, so I presume I have been disconnected without knowing.
Any tips?

Edit - Thread title is not spelt so good Wink

Re: Throuput issue

exactly what is your problem?, the BT speed test is only reliable for reporting the connection and profile, not the throughput, it can give useless answers fo this.
Most people decry the speedtest.net test, PN prefere this one http://www.mybroadbandspeed.co.uk/

Your test was using the Manchester server, the place where your signal reaches the internet is in London

Thanks Pierre. the above is better. No real issue I don't think, just web pages seem to be loading a tad slow tonight, oh and the uptime is a bit weird.

Re: Throuput issue

I have the Thompson router and that seems to refresh itself about once a week, I am on a good connection, so it doesnt affect me, and probably not yours either, I used to have the 2110 dont think that reconnected itself

Re: Throuput issue

Your throughput looks ok for your IP profile, but for your attenuation it should be a little better I would have thought.
You could try tweaking your MTU and RWIN to see if you can squeeze anymore out of it.

Re: Throughput issue

could allways try at the test socket to see if that gives a sync rate more in line with your line's atten
