Thomson TG585v7 orv8 plusnetrouter

Firstly i would like to say Hello to ALL as i am a new member can anybody help? The question is, is it worth changing a Plusnet supplied router ( Thomson TG585v7 to a version 8 and if so are there any benefits ?) i'm thinking mostly from the wireless aspect

A variety of odd problems have been reported with the 585v8.  You are better-off sticking with the 585 v7 router.

Mine is a Netgear DG834G v4 which is no longer available but I am not too bothered about wireless strength although when used with various laptops, iPhones, etc. it never gives any problems but if it ever gives up the ghost I will probably go for one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Billion-BiPAC-7700N-Wireless-Firewall/dp/B004WJSRN2/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
