I am not sure if this can work , but I have a linksys router that I don't want to get rid of just because its a cable router. I was checking to see if I can make the thomson router work with it, before thinking on buying a adsl modem. First could someone explain a little bit more what are the options I have if instead of authenticating with plusnet I choose "other"? It only says I should choose that if I don't want to use NAT. That doesn't explain much.
Also, if I set the in the thomson router that I want the linksys router to have the public IP making a DMZ of the linksys lan, should that work? Can I try that instead of getting a adsl modem?
