The IP Profile, bRAS profile and quarterly increments

I've just noticed the BT Speedtester http://www.speedtester.bt.com/ now seem to be reporting IP Profiles in quarterly increments:
Mine is currently reported at 1250 kbps.
However this interesting little development change does not seem to be reflected by Plus.net.  The connection setting https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed reports 1000 kbps.
Has anyone else noticed this?

Re: The IP Profile, bRAS profile and quarterly increments

This was a change made a couple of months ago.  I think I made a blog post about it but can't find it!
We have planned profile changes afoot which will incorporate BTs new profiles.

Re: The IP Profile, bRAS profile and quarterly increments

Thanks for the prompt reply James.
As you can see with my pathetic connection profile (distance from exchange) I could use every bit of additional speed I can lay my hands on.
Any timescale/date for this improvment to go live?

James me boy any news?
btw I got a ticket open for SNR to be reset to 6db. I'm currently forcing it down to this via DMT tool and it seems stable.
Could you stick this request through before I get some newbie support person f'it up?  Wink
Thanks in advance.

Re: The IP Profile, bRAS profile and quarterly increments

Hi again,
Can you have a look at the ticket I put on your account?  I need you to disable the DMT tool so that we can get some realistic results of the conditions on your line.

Re: The IP Profile, bRAS profile and quarterly increments

Sorry, I have chased.
There's no timescales currently and as we need to build additional profiles in Workplace (the network changes have been done) there is development work required.  The development schedule is currently rammed full, so we might have to wait a bit I'm afraid.
