I have put the Technicolor back on and it is working woth RouterStats, D/S noise margin has dropped. Attenuation is 29 on my Belkin and 33 on the Technicolor, that is a big margin, reducing the sync a la kitx from 16000 down to 13000. Also with the Belkin the D/S NM never goes below 5 or above 7, yet the Technicolor is 3.2. Why would 2 routers show such a margin in both Attenuation and Noise margin.

In router stats it says my line is interleaved, is this a mistake ?

As you have no FEC errors I'd agree that is wrong.

Nearly 2 years of banging on about my speed being lower than it should be syncing at 100000 - 1100000
Type Interleave Path
Status SHOWTIME
Downstream Upstream
Data rate(Kbps) 13208 1219
Noise Margin 5 6
Output power(dBm) 0 20
Attenuation(dB) 28 16
I am glad I stuck with it, and it turns out I am not paranoid
Anyway thanks to the BT engineer and all who have imparted their wisdom with me and hopefully the only time I am on this forum from now on is if I can offer any wisdom myself.
Cheers.
