Re: That time again...

Hi there,
I've bumped the profile up to 9100 to match that set on BTs side for you, hope that helps.

Re: That time again...

Thanks Reed, I thought I was going potty for a second,
sync of 11600,
BT profile of 10.24
PN profile of 9.1
Actual speed of 8.4.
I keep hearing the Benny Hill theme everytime I open up PN now.

Re: That time again...

Eep... many apologies, I went with the profile on WCR which is the system we get our updates from. I've altered it to 10200, hope it does improve things for you.

Definately getting back up there again, if I can get back to over 10Mbps D/L and stay there I will never moan on these forums again.  Lips_are_sealed

Re: That time again...

Yesterday I had a go on BF3, I joined the server and within 2 minutes I was 9 kills 0 deaths, then the phone rang, normally when the phone rings I answer it straight away, then when I come back to gaming I play crap. I used to put this down to "losing concentration  ::).  Yesterday however I didn't answer then phone and just let it ring and carried on playing. With the phone ringing, the game went laggy and I went from 9 for 0 to 9 for 9 and couldn't hit anything. So all the time I thought I had lost my concentration it was the phone ringing that ruined my BB connection.
Just an observation.

Re: That time again...

Could you post the RouterStats graph of the noise margin showing what happens when the phone rings please.

Re: That time again...

I haven't got RouterStats Jelv, I have an engineer coming tomorrow, so after he has gone I will have a look at installing the program.

Re: That time again...

I do it beforehand. If the phone ringing upsets the noise margin that would be something to show the engineer and would also allow you to check he'd fixed it.
(Note a common cause of the ringing of an incoming call upsetting ADSL is a duff filter)

Re: That time again...

Oh drat, looks like the Lite version doesn't support it either.
Either you'll have to monitor the noise margin manually by constantly refreshing the page, or perhaps you have another router that is supported that you could use just for the test?
