forum user npr hosts a good site for all things Technicolor http://npr.me.uk/telnet.html .  The QoS link http://npr.me.uk/ipqos.html doesn't seeem to be working at the moment though...

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Site is now functioning. Very useful. It appears that outright disabling of the Technicolor TG582n isn't possible.
