Has anyone noticed their Plusnet download speed suddenly increase ?
I noticed the target SNR has been set to 2.8 dB from a normal setting of 6 dB.
On the face of it the speed has gone from 16 Mbit/s to 17 Mbit/s.
The last time my ISP tried this I ended up with terrible reliability and repeated disconnections.
Is it going to be different this time ?
And does anyone know what BT are up to ?

Thanks for getting in touch.
The automated dynamic line management(DLM) software at the exchange will change the SNR setting as it sees fit depending on certain parameters of the line, reducing the SNR if it feels your line can run at a higher speed without issue or increasing it if there are continuous disconnections/a fault with the service.
Our tests aren't showing any issues at the moment with your SNR target being at 3dB however if you do start to notice issues let us know and we'll be happy to manually increase this back to 6dB to try to resolve that.
Hope this helps.
