The talk talk HG635 router has a interesting specification so I though I'd give one a try on my Plusnet fibre.

Initial impressions of the HG635
Wireless:
The routers 2.4 GHz wireless signal is significantly stronger then Plusnets TG582n router.
Wireless n bandwidth can be set to 20 MHz, 20/40 MHz or a neighbour unfriendly 40 MHz.
Both 2.4 GHz and 5GHz wireless can be used at the same time.
I find 5 GHz wireless to have about the same range as the TG582n on 2.4 GHz.
Ethernet:
4 Gigabit ports. + 1 EWAN port
Remember you need 8 core cables, with 4 cores it default to 100mbps ethernet.

The User Interface and Features.

Although the GUI is pretty basic, much like the Technicolor, it's much more responsive to navigate than the TG582n.
All the basic features are there, firewall (very basic), port forwarding, DMZ, wireless WPS and access rules.
Also DHCP, UPnP, and content sharing.
DNS can be set from within the GUI.
The biggest down side is there's no telnet access to make more advanced settings.
What you see in the GUI is all you get.
VDSL Performance
Unfortunately I have a pretty poor line, which is deteriorating again, so it's difficult to make a accurate comparison with BT's modem.
All I can say at present is that it appears to give much the same sync speed and throughput as both BT's modem and my TG672 VDSL router.
