Switching from Sky to Plusnet: implications of ending Sky contract

My wife has initiated a switch from Sky to PlusNet. Sky requires one month's notice of contract termination so her Sky service will end on November 30th.
Would PlusNet therefore start the contract at the end of November so that there is no overlap (and no double charging)?

Re: Switching from Sky to Plusnet: implications of ending Sky contract

Hi daveplus,
It is dependent on the day that the broadband goes live, so the contract would take effect from the 30th if we get the provision right.
Theoretically, we can get it up and running for that date. Ideally, I'd like to know whether Sky are ceasing the line or leaving it open for takeover.
Feel free to pop me your wife's username at some point, so I can ensure that we provision it correctly.
