Re: Switch to fastpath and ADSL 2+ ????

Have you checked that 21CN WBC ADSL2+ is available on your exchange?
What does http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome say for your predicted speeds?

Re: Switch to fastpath and ADSL 2+ ????

Hi r2obd,
I've placed an order to remove interleaving from your line, it will complete tomorrow. Let me know if there's any difference and we'll go from there.

Re: Switch to fastpath and ADSL 2+ ????

Hi there, suspecting there wouldn't be much of an advantage if your estimate above is correct but if you could post your router stats as Jelv asks we'd be able to advise much more accurately.

Re: Switch to fastpath and ADSL 2+ ????

BT Wholesale tester
Download speedachieved during the test was - 1.85 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.8 Mbps-2 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 1.86 Mbps
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 0.35Mbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 0.45 Mbps
Latency = 29,25 ms

This was done whilst wireless dunno if this has a massive effect

Re: Switch to fastpath and ADSL 2+ ????

Given that you are 4 to 5 km from the exchange I think that those stats and the speed test result look pretty good. The only thing I'd question is why the up time was only four minutes?

Re: Switch to fastpath and ADSL 2+ ????

That was user fault  Roll_eyes as I plugged the modem back into the main socket, was stable for just under a day before that, i'm not loosing sync at all , so not a concern.  Yeah i'm pretty happy with that, guess thats as good as it can get?Huh

Re: Switch to fastpath and ADSL 2+ ????

I'd say so. I've seen people with faster speeds than you get in a right mess when they tried to move to ADSL2.
