I am trying to update the firmware of my router TG 585v8 but when I'm trying to install it I get the message
"There are no system software files found on your device.."
Anyone got this message or know why I'm getting it?
My router currently shows software release 8.2.7.7
jim:green posts split off as it is a different problem mod:end

I would also appreciate if anyone could tell me where to locate the DNS server names. Basically I'm playing online and cannot connect to anyone which i believe is down to not having a static IP or port forwarding.

I assume that you have followed the instructions here http://community.plus.net/library/hardware/how-to-upgradedowngrade-the-firmware-on-the-thomson-585v7... and have downloaded the correct firmware. Also you need to do it using a wired connection
Regarding DNS servers that isn't the problem. Which device are you having the problem with
Regarding DMZ have a check through the Gaming Section
