Stuck profile

I had a problem with a noisy phone line last week which was fixed on Monday. My sync speed (7616 Kbps) did not drop but my profile did and it's now stuck on 6500Kbps. Could some very nice person give it a kick for me please.

Re: Stuck profile

Hi there,
Are you talking about the profile in the Member Centre? Or the IP profile as shown on a BT Speedtester?
If the former we can change this quite quickly, if the latter we would need you to raise a ticket with the Speedtester results as we need to raise a fault with BT to get this changed.

Re: Stuck profile

Hi George,
Your sync speed of 7616Kbps gives you an IP Profile of 6500Kbps on the BT network.
Your can read about exciting sync speeds here:

Re: Stuck profile

The IP profile was 7160Kbps before I had the trouble with the line and had been for a very long time. 6500Kbps is a lot of overheads for 7616 Sync

The sync speed - throughput speed (IP Profile) relationship can be found on the  dslmax_guide.shtml Help & Support page.
You will notice that 8128 pairs with 7150, from 7968 with 7000, and from 7392 with 6500kbps.
