Hi John,
I've just been on to our suppliers and they said they have now reset that. If you don't see the difference shortly they suggest rebooting your router. Let me know how it goes.

Jojo, you are a STAR!!
Look at this:
Download speedachieved during the test was - 5330 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :8128 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 7150 Kbps
I suppose if Adam's suspicions prove correct this could all go wrong again, perhaps I should stay plugged into the Test socket for another day or two, but for now I am a very happy chappy
Thank you so much.
John

Hi John,
Great news, thanks for letting me know. It is worth staying in the test socket for the time being at least.

Hi Adam, The router has still not arrived.
However Jojo's reset is still holding good. This morning's test result shows a further improvement on Tuesday's download speed.
Download speed achieved during the test was - 6356 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :8128 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 7150 Kbps
After the reset on Tuesday I disabled automatic sleep function on my computer's Power Settings, and I have left the Email client running, so I should think that there ought not to have been any automated Session Closed events caused by the connection being idle. I would be interested to know whether you have seen disconnections in that time?
Later today I must get our landing cleared of the trailing cables. This means plugging into an extension socket, so I hope we will not see a degeneration in my signal.
Regards,
John

Quote Hi Adam, The router has still not arrived.
Sorry about that, not sure why that is. Seeing as things are going well I'd suggest we hold back on that for now unless you begin to have issues with that again.
