Static IP Address update ?

I just paid £5 for the static ip address. do i have to manually type it into the ip address on the router software and choose static. i thought it would change on the router automatically !

You shouldn't need to change the router settings, but you'll need to drop the PPP session, and then reconnect.

How to do this is left as an exercise for the reader...

1) Sign up for the static IP

2) Website tells you your static IP

3) Reboot  or disconnect & reconnect the router

... you should now have your static IP!

My Plusnet was installed on Monday: I upgraded to the static IP almost straight away, worked just fine.
