Hi, i've recently been moved to the adsl2+ network but my speeds are still as before the move.
My distance from the exchange is "You are around 130 metres from your exchange (as the crow flies)"
Here are some reports off my router, i've just updated the firmware on my Thompson TG585 v8 to 8.2.7.8,
Link Information
Uptime: 0 days, 0:19:03
DSL Type: G.992.5 annex A
Maximum Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 888 / 21,988
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 440 / 19,963
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [MB/MB]: 2.09 / 8.31
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 11.0 / 16.5
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 8.0 / 15.0
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 31.5 / 6.5
Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / IFTN
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote): 0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 909
CRC Errors (Up/Down): 96 / 0
HEC Errors (Up/Down): 21 / 7
Here are some speedtest reports: (for some reason the speedtest thinks i'm 150miles away from manchester which am not only about 40)
BT Speedchecker Results:
Download speedachieved during the test was - 6772 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 2000-7150 Kbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 7150 Kbps
The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 13.24:24.19:62.59 (SBE:NBE:PBE)
These figures represent the ratio while sententiously passing Sub BE, Normal BE and Priority BE marked traffic.
The results of this test will vary depending on the way your ISP has decided to use these traffic classes.
thanks for your help

Hi sterothery,
It's only just gone over today so the system hasn't had a chance to pick up the new sync rate, but it will do soon.
