Re: Speed just took a big dump

Right, I've just got off the phone as there had been 0 updates for us on the faults tracker. Unfortunately I was told there is a large number of faults in your area which is causing delays in fault resolution, this means that your fault is unlikely to be repaired until early next week. I'm really sorry about this and I made it clear that it wasn't acceptable we hadn't had any updates on this yet.

Re: Speed just took a big dump

They finally came out and fixed this today, phone is now working, broadband stats and sync are back to normal and not had a single error since it was fixed 3 hours ago, thanks Chris for keeping them on their toes.
Any chance i can get a line reset to get my IP profile put back up and back on to fast path?

Re: Speed just took a big dump

Glad to hear it nightstalk3r,
I've just submitted a DLM reset to both bring the SNR back down and put you back on fast path.
It should take effect within 24 hours.

Re: Speed just took a big dump

Thanks for that Adam, just checked and the profile reset has gone through speed looking much better now ;D.

It is still on interleave though rather than fast path.

Hi nightstalk3r,
Cheers for letting me know.
I'll place a separate order to put you on Fastpath tomorrow.

Re: Speed just took a big dump

So while the line is now fixed and syncing at 8128 kbps i am still getting these horrendous slow downs that made me start this thread in the first place.

Re: Speed just took a big dump

And the fact that these slowdowns are always pegged at 0.5meg stinks of throttling.

Re: Speed just took a big dump

The synch speed and the BTw profile are both excellent.
Please look at the PlusNet correct current speed - see link below.  Can you also please post your router stats.
If it is the same as the profile figure posted above, then you are suffering from the BTw / BTOR hidden stuck profile problem which seems to be plaguing their 20CN service.

It's not always like this though, it was fine untill about 6:20pm when it slowed to 0.5meg and was pegged at that for about an hour, then it went back to full speed for about 10 minutes and now its stuck between 2 and 3meg.
Also this is the BQM i had running since the line was fixed until about an hour ago, it looks horrific.

Re: Speed just took a big dump

This is what it is doing right now, it's all over the place. Check the speedtest time stamps to get a scale of how fast it is fluctuating.

This is exactly what it did the day before the phone line died last time so im half expecting the phone to be dead again in the morning.

Do you have a working BQM please?
