Re: Speed dropped to 2.6mbps

Sorry, my fault. I typed the wrong timeslot onto the ticket.

The appointment itself is actually booked in for 1pm to 6pm. Apologies for this.

Re: Speed dropped to 2.6mbps

Hi

Had the engineers visit and it appears to be a problem your end something to do with DNS and you stopping my connection your end as my line was syncing at over 5mbp/s and up to 6 at times when he was here but it also dropped and said I was when it was clearly   not working.

Re: Speed dropped to 2.6mbps

@mkc66

There aren't actually any engineer notes against the job so I contacted our suppliers for confirmation and all they could say is there were some external changes made to the connection.

This was your line stats before the visit:

    Test Executed On: 2018-08-30 T19:03:58.799Z
xDSL Status Test Summary
Sync Status: Circuit In Sync
General Information
NTE Status:   NTE Power Status: PowerOn Bypass Status:

Upstream DSL Link Information Downstream DSL Link Information
Loop Loss: 30.7 45.5
SNR Margin: 10.5 6.0
Errored Seconds: 0 7
HEC Errors: 0
Cell Count: 74518 81090
Speed: 864 3392
Indicative Line Quality: R
Current BRAS Profile(CVLAN rate): 3381

This is after the visit:

Test Executed On: 2018-09-03 T17:34:19.505Z

Sync Status: Circuit In Sync
General Information
NTE Status:   NTE Power Status: PowerOn Bypass Status:

Upstream DSL Link Information Downstream DSL Link Information
Loop Loss: 30.7 48.5
SNR Margin: 10.0 6.5
Errored Seconds: 0 0
HEC Errors: 0
Cell Count: 157569 334324
Speed: 864 5760

Indicative Line Quality: A
Current BRAS Profile(CVLAN rate): 5742

There's a noticeable difference there with line quality is showing as improved with a 2 meg increase in sync. The data from the increase hadn't filtered through to the account so that still had the lower profile. I've just updated that and it should be noticeable shortly.

Re: Speed dropped to 2.6mbps

Well to be honest most of that means nothing to me what I can say was I had a connection of about 5mbp/s till early evening when it stopped working again I have just checked and it is back and the speed has now dropped again back to roughly 2.8mbp/s

He did say his report will be passed back to,Plusnet so maybe that hasn’t been done yet

Re: Speed dropped to 2.6mbps

When you say the lower end of speed I was getting a reliable 4.5 mbps till recently when it dropped to roughly 2.5 mbps it has even risen to the breakneck speed of 5.05 mbps and according to he engineer syncing at over 6 mbps tonight it has dropped again to a paltry 1.4 mbps, the engineer said it was down to you stopping my connection something regarding a DNS error so I would say there is still a problem your end that need fixing please
