Speed drop and usage?

Hi,
my speed has dropped from 2.8Mbps to 2.2Mbps between the hours of midnight to midday. This is the period when i'm not throttled. Also in my account i notice that all my usage is recorded as peak time usage (midday - midnight) when it definately is not.
i use usenet a lot an all my d/l is done mainly after midnight so how come i have midnight - midday usage recorded as 0 for everything?
Also what is the significance of the usage bar ending at 68Gig?
Thks in advance.  Smiley

Re: Speed drop and usage?

When you say your speed has dropped, is this from a speed test or from your router stats
On unlimited all usage is currently shown as peak - this is being addressed - but this will have no effect on your speeds.
The usage bar scale is dynamic so the more you use the higher the top end figure

Re: Speed drop and usage?

From your description is sounds like you are on unlimited, if so all your usage would be recorded as peak.
The usage chart doesn't matter that much for you, unless you are interested in how much you use.
Is it possible that you've sycnhed lower at some point recently to cause your speed to drop?

Re: Speed drop and usage?

the BT speed tester isn't great for measuring throughput. Can you see what you get at http://www.mybroadbandspeed.co.uk

Morning Smiley
Everything looks absolutely fine.
I wouldn't rely on the bt site for speed test results.

Re: Speed drop and usage?

As james said that's fine.
If you manage to keep your synch for 3 days at your current speed you may see a bit of an increase.
