Speed consistently at 1.5 Mbps for the last few days

I been only getting around 1.5-1.6 Mbps for the last few days. When I started this contract I use to get around 2.5 Mbps, but the speeds been dropping and has come down to this.

Last time I had issues with speed, you guys had fixed my speed to around 2.2 Mbps (https://portal.plus.net/wizard/?p=view_question&id=120056604), but it has dropped and https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=stable_rate also says 1.7, but its less than that.

And I cant see a way of creating a new ticket on your system anymore, hence I am posting here.

I hope you guys will be able to get it back to to 2.2 at least like you fixed it last time, 1.5 is too less a speed for London area, I feel as if I am in some rural area of UK.

Thank you.

Re: Speed consistently at 1.5 Mbps for the last few days

assume you've done the obvious of rebooted router to try & connect to a faster gateway?

Do this at off peak times.

Check your current gateway here:
http://usertools.plus.net/@gateway/

When you reconnect, keep checking your gateway, until you're on new one, then use the OPENREACH speed tester:

Best thing is to check the troubleshooting guides: http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/bbfaults/

If they don't help, report a fault: https://faults.plus.net

Re: Speed consistently at 1.5 Mbps for the last few days

Hope you get it sorted out, but I have had the same issue for nearly three months, and six engineer visits so far all of who seem at a total loss as to how to fix the problem. Engineer number seven to call Monday.

On the bright side and given you are not getting the service I would suggest you ask plusnet for a full refund as to date they have without hassle refunded me in full for both March and April although to be honest, I'd rather be able to watch videos on line and make phone calls without crackles in my ear.

Good luck, you might need it.
