Speed capped at 20 MB ?

Hi There,
Had broadband for a week now, my speed seems to stay a constant and accurate 20 MB/S I am however 2 meters away from my fiber box on the street the the engineer got a full 40 MB/S 2MB UP when he ran his test..
Any help please?

I assume you mean 20Mb/s (ie 20 megabits, rather than 20 megaBytes)...
First thing is: Where do you see this result? I get most consistent results at www.speedtest.net, and then by selecting the Newbury server.
Second thing: How are you connected when running the test - Wired or Wireless? Some wireless connections are more than saturated with fibre speeds, so it is better to test with a wired connection.
Third thing: What are the results (and particularly the IP Profile value) when running the test at www.speedtester.bt.com (not the beta test)?
