Speed and Line Problems

We've had some noisy phone line (basically unusable) and broadband dropout issues over the past few days and Openreach came yesterday and tested the line but could find no issues. Openreach chap went and checked the connection at the box on the end of the street (probably his excuse to get away lol)
Typical, the noisy line never happens when the engineer is here....
Today the speeds have dropped to about 5.49Mbps so just posting the router stats to see if there is anything I need to do or could be done to improve the connection.
I have been averaging about 9,10 and 11 Mbps in the past
Just like to add that I am a new PlusNet customer and so far I am very happy with the service from PlusNet and find the website very easy to use.
Thank you

Hi,
Welcome to the forums.
With the reported line attenuation, you should see something close to the "max" speed indicated in the stats. Your SNRM (18dB) is very high and rather suggests that there are still issues on the line.
Have you recently done a quiet line test - 17070 option 2? You should do this at different times of day. Note that noise can increase after an inbound call. Are you experiencing internet disconnects on inbound calls? A noisy line or any of the problems described here need to be first investigated as voice faults, as there has to be a reason for the high SNRM value. That said the error rates seem low enough.
There is the possibility that the line has had its TARGET SNRM fixed due to the historic issues and it simply needs a SNRM reset - DCT will advise on this when they see this post.

Hi, sorry to hear about this.
Our logs show me the connection has been pretty stable over the past 24 hours so I'll submit an SNR reset which should improve the speeds within the next few hours:

If you do start to notice noise on the line again get that reported to your phone provider straight away, they should be able to run some tests over a longer period of time if the problem is intermittent.

So just the broadband speed to sort out.
