Speed Drop

Hi,
I have noticed over the last 4/5 days some work going on at my cabinet from openreach guys,  and thought i give my speed a check with some of the stories ive read on here, and my speed has decreased  alot  (as you can see below)  i had speeds round  67mb  will this put it self right ?
Thank you.

Re: Speed Drop

Hi, it certainly should do but might take a couple of days to do so once the work is complete. If it wasn't Fibre I'd say we could get a line reset done if it hasn't improved as stated, but unfortunately that's not possible on Fibre.
As I said though it should improve once the work's complete and your sync speed increases.

Re: Speed Drop

I can see that you've a fault raised with us which is due to be picked up within the next 24-48 hours. It's likely we'll be looking to send an engineer out to investigate further.
We'll get back to you once we've completed our initial testing to let you know what we've found.

Re: Speed Drop

Sorry to hear of the poor speeds.
Are the Speed Tests being completed via Ethernet or Wireless?

Re: Speed Drop

hi
That low  just this morning i never seen them that low  but did dropped from around 66/67 to 20-40 before xmas round about time there was work in the cabinet  was expecting it to put it self right i know it can take a while , but  it did pick up again.
just done another couple  one looks to of picked up a bit the other not  looks all over the place  only thing changed my end is new pc and changed  from win 7 to win 8 and am using tg589vn3  but to rule out a fault being with that  i tried the 582 with bt modem and still pretty similar results.

Re: Speed Drop

Hmm, very strange.
It's definitely worth going through http://community.plus.net/library/broadband/broadband-faults-guide-fttc/ under the 'Speed Fault (EPP)'.
If, after reading through the guide you're still seeing issues, it'd be worth raising a fault with us at http://faults.plus.net

Re: Speed Drop

Ok, if the speeds continue to be low, it'd be worth raising this with our Faults Team at http://faults.plus.net
