Re: Snr reset please :)

HI,
I would expect a bit better performance really but before we start messing around with SNR I'd like to see it straight into the test socket with a different filter.

Re: Snr reset please :)

Left dads now, what I'll do is try another router n filter tomorrow morning when I'm next there and report back. Its plugged into the main socket but not in the test behind it. Will try all that tomorrow.

Re: Snr reset please :)

At last got time at parents to check things Smiley
Have seen that it`s been dropping the PPPoA quite often so i guess thats the reason behind the lack of speed.
It was/has been connected to the master socket all the time, only thing is it`s not a NT5 socket so no test socket (definatly the master as the capacitator is behind the face plate).
Been disconnecting the ring wire this afternoon  from it and the extentions but still doesnt want to sync any higher than 9400 kbps.
Tried different filters and a different router as well to make sure.
Sent you a pm jo with the username. Smiley

Re: Snr reset please :)

Hi anything but,
[quote=Availability Checker]Our test also indicates that your line currently supports an estimated ADSL2+ broadband line speed of 10Mbps; typically the line speed would range between 8Mbps and 12Mbps.
Sadly this will stop us from raising this as a fault but I'll give the SNR reset a go, although I don't think it'll push it up that much to be honest.

Re: Snr reset please :)

The houses are about 5-6 years old (new build),was strange there wasnt a propper socket fitted.
Like i said i disconnected the ring wire as a precaution incase....would BT come out and fit a NT5 if i called and stated there wasn`t one in the house or would they charge?

Hi anything but,
If their phone is with BT it's always worth asking. I have known for engineers to fit one as part of a fault, too, but I don't think there's any obligation to change it.
