Slow wireless speed on fibre

I've just upgraded to fibre (mainly for the download limit), but can't get above 35Mb in wireless - I get 75Mb on wired.
Is there anything on the router I need to do to increase the speed?
My new laptop says it's an "n" router, like the router.

Re: Slow wireless speed on fibre

You might notice from other similar threads such as this one: http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,109766.0.html that wireless speeds do vary depending on the distance from the router and aren't ever likely to match speeds achieved over ethernet.
As one person suggests on the same thread wall-mounting the router may help improve signal strength.

Others suggest that waste bin mounting the router helps... Lips_are_sealed

Re: Slow wireless speed on fibre

If your using the Plusnet supplied router  Cry then unplug it, throw it down the loo & treat yourself to a proper router for Xmas. I'm using an Asus RT-N56U & my wireless increased by 70%.  Cheesy
