Between the last two sets of stats you've posted your sync speed with the exchange has changed. That can only happen if the router loses connection with the exchange and it has to re-establish synchronisation. Did you power off or reboot the router between?

Also downloaded routerstats but don't seem to be working even though I followed the instructions whenever I press noise margin or download the graph just stays on 0 ?

In the RouterStats configuration have you entered the username ('admin') and the password which is on the card that came with the router?
Is the run button with the green arrow depressed.
Where in Purleigh are you? There's another Plusnet user on your exchange who's watching this topic - he might be able to give you a hand if we can't get this sorted.
(BTW My aunt used to live in Stow Maries so I'm not totally unfamiliar with the area)

Re: Slow speeds

Hello Jelv,
Defo didn't power off the router, but the router every now and again does disconnect Sometimes during late night I have noticed, but havn't noticed whether it as disconnected the last couple of day but wouldn't be surprised if it has.
Done as instructed with the router stat but I just get a straight blue line on 0 the graph does not go up or down with the noise and also dload/upload ratio buttons pressed?
Yes I live Stow Maries for about 13 years.

Re: Slow speeds

It's the disconnections that will be causing your slower speeds - you need to concentrate on solving that first. Once that is sorted better speeds should follow after a few days.
You can tell if it has disconnected and when by looking at the up time in the router stats:

Re: Slow speeds

Don't bother running speed tests - we know they will be bad until the disconnections are sorted.
Can you describe what you have plugged in to any telephone socket anywhere in the house please.
Do you have a master telephone socket with a removable lower half? If so please connect the router to the test socket inside and see if you still get the drops.

If I push the phone firmly to my ear I can hear a very slight crackle.

Re: Slow speeds

You've done all you can - you now need to raise a fault for a dropping connection http://faults.plus.com

Re: Slow speeds

Had this reply from the faults dept, will this greatly affect my gaming and will my speeds go back up as now only getting 2.88mb download max?

We have asked our wholesale broadband suppliers to turn interleaving on on your phone line to try and fix your current broadband problem.
Interleaving is a form of error correction that helps to improve the stability of high-speed broadband. One drawback of interleaving is that it can increase ping times, which may cause problems for online gamers.
We think that turning on interleaving may help with your connection problems. Interleaving usually takes 24 hours to turn on, but can take up to 5 days to take effect.
If interleaving solves your problem, please close this Question. If you are still seeing problems with interleaving switched on, please return this Question to us with as much detail about your problem as possible. Thank you for your time and patience.
Kind regards

Re: Slow speeds

It's an attempt to fix the fault but is by no means set in stone that you have to keep the line like that. Also if it's still dropping connection we'll still get it raised and sorted out for you. We'll try our best to get things back to how they were without interleaving etc.
