Slow speed

Ok, I have recently done a test on BT speedtester as I have been having problems streaming video. It is reporting that my IP profile is 2000k. This is half of what it was previously, 4000k. My actual download speed is 1762 Kbps. I am not happy with this speed so can I have this looked into please. I am going to plug the router into the test socket for the moment. Results attached.
thanks,
Michael

Re: Slow speed

Hi Michael,
Your sync rate is currently not as high as you will have had previously, which will be keeping your profile down. Can you change your filter, maybe try another router or RJ11 cable (between your router and filter). Let me know and I can run some more checks.

Re: Slow speed

Hello!
I'm sorry but I don' have a spare router or RJ11 cable to replace them, but I have replaced the filter. I have it plugged into the test socket.

Re: Slow speed

Hi!
New test results show DSL connection rate has gone up since changing the filter.

Re: Slow speed

That connection speed should put you back on a 4000kbps IP Profile once it works its way through the system. Hopefully 24 hours for that magnitude increase. Smiley

Re: Slow speed

Hi mridley1982,
Looks like it's back up to 4000 now. Just shows you what a dodgy filter can do.
