Hi,
I've had a ticket open (86281251) about the speed of my broadband connection. Apparently the speed I was getting (after I removed a dodgy phone from the system) is about right given my distance from the exchange.
All seemed well until yesterday when I had a number of disconnections. I've now removed the 'ring' wire from all extension sockets and I'm now syncing at 448/3815 and the IP profile from BT wholesale speedtest is 0.45/3.36 Mbps.
However, the Best Effort Test gives a download speed of 0.18 Mbps. This seems to match the Plusnet current line speed = 0.2 Mb.
Will this problem fix itself, or do I need to log another ticket?
Thanks,
Simon

Hi Simon,
I've just run through a few checks on the line to see what you're synchronizing at how the maximum stable rate looks and have adjusted your speed profile on our side to match. If you could reboot your router you should see the new speeds.
Thanks,
Adam C

No need to reboot the router - just click on disconnect then reconnect to drop the PPP session

Brilliant - speed is back up again.
Thanks for your 'speedy' response.
