Re: Slow internet on peak hours

I will try to get another router but I do not have anyone at hand.

Thanks for the check up.

Re: Slow internet on peak hours

Is this still true?

Traffic Prioritisation is not applied to Unlimited, Unlimited Fibre or Unlimited Fibre Extra.

Because I have Unlimited but I have a strong feeling that some Prioritisation is in place because I have seen behaviours which are compatible with it.

Re: Slow internet on peak hours

I have tested again just now, 8:10 Sunday morning, off peak I guess Roll_eyes

Down  Up     Latency
14.23   0.59   163.38
16.09   0.66   164
14.20   0.67   159

Download speedachieved during the test was - 14.2 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 4 Mbps-21 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 14.78 Mbps

Upload speed achieved during the test was - 0.67Mbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 0.83 Mbps

And this are the router stats. I am concern about the error and loss figures, are they not a bit alarming?

Re: Slow internet on peak hours

@josemaria Thanks for a definite off-peak test.Smiley

The BT tests show things are roughly where they should be - the upload looks a bit low, but I've always found that to be the case whenever I've run the test, so to be honest I wouldn't place much reliance on it.

Out of curiousity, where do you get the block of figures headed Down, Up, Latency? Because the middle 'Down' of 16.09 looks suspicious.

With regard to the error figures, as I have said, sorry, can't really comment because I don't know enough, but based on comments I had when experiencing connection issues, I would get them checked.

Any luck with a second router?

Re: Slow internet on peak hours

I will try to get another router to test.

I get those up down latency running the BT speed test 3 times myself.

Thanks for you help.

Re: Slow internet on peak hours

OK, that explains the figures, but the one I mentioned is a 'rogue'.

This is still true.

I've pushed the fault report back to our suppliers for further investigation, although I imagine at this point they'll likely come back asking us to book an engineer visit. We'll keep you updated via the ticket on the account regarding this.
