Slow broadband for past week.

The past week my broadband has been incredibly temperamental, originally I thought it was an issue with my Ethernet cable, but Wireless devices are also experiencing issues.
The connection is fine for periods and I have no trouble loading up webpages, streaming and downloading.  However more often then not I will have connectivity issues and a webpage will not load, it feels like the speed drops right off, despite the router saying I am connected.
Is it possible to request a line check of some sort, to see if the guys on your end can identify any problems with the router or if there is an issue in my area?

If a line check is not possible, can anyone provide any solutions?

Re: Slow broadband for past week.

Have you followed any of the self help checks? http://www.plus.net/help/broadband/ Reset the router? What about the router stats?

Re: Slow broadband for past week.

Hi drenai,
Diagnostic tests are all passing so I'd just go ahead and report a fault: http://faults.plus.net

Re: Slow broadband for past week.

Hi there, what I would need you to do is to raise this as a fault using the link  http://faults.plus.net.
I have checked the connection and this is currently showing that there are a few drops in the connection. To be able to accurately diagnose this our faults team need to look at this for you.

Re: Slow broadband for past week.

I've worked myself through the fault list till I got to the router part. I originally presumed this may be the issue because it has been loud and making very audible sounds recently, I did however think nothing of this at first because it did still work - to some extent.
How would I go about ordering a replacement official Plusnet router?

Re: Slow broadband for past week.

If you call us we can look at getting a new router ordered at the cost of £6.99 postage and packaging.
