I have recently moved to Plusnet for broadband and one major change has occurred on our home netwrk system. We have a Panasonic TV connected through the router to allow us to view media on the TV from our PC. When we had a BT Homehub router everything worked instantly but since installing the Thompson router we get a server not found message for about 3 minutes before the TV shows the servers that I am using (Media Player and Twonky). Once the connection is made it works fine but it is very frustrating having to wait 3 minutes for this to happen when it worked perfectly with BT. I have looked at the router settings to see if I could assign a new application to the TV as a network device but I am unsure what ports etc to use. We use AVG security but this has been in place when we had the BT Homehub. I have aslo reinstalled the Twonky media server to se if that would help but to no avail.
I would appreciate some advice on this matter.
