I'm unsure if OP is experiencing actual speed-related problems with using the internet, or if the issue being reported is just a speedtest website failing.
However, if @stathe wanted to explore getting improved speed, they could try tweaking the modem settings to force DMT mode (I'm assuming it's using ADSL2+ right now). On some lines, this seems to improve things, perversely.

Looking at some of stathe's previous threads, it looks like the only way to get the speed high enough is going to be for Plusnet to set the target SNRM down to 3dB.
There's nothing much to lose by trying changing the ADSL mode/modulation to ADSL1, although personally I'd recommend trying ADSL2 first (if it's currently using ADSL2+).

Speeds can vary depending on the quality of the line.
Unfortunately as it's within our suppliers expectations it's unlikely they'll investigate further.
I've requested the SNR to be reduced to 3db to try to push more speed to you. This should be done within 15 minutes.
However, it's possible that this may cause further issues and/or the dynamic line management software in the exchange will simply increase the SNR as there are a few errors on your line.
Let us know how you get on.

I forget if I said this before, so apologies if I'm repeating myself. But the Which? speedtester is known for giving wildly inaccurate results.
Have you tried thinkbroadband.com/speedtest?

They've had the feedback countless times, from many people. They only seem to care about the PR opportunities.

Glad to hear your speeds have improved.
Whilst the target SNR is still at 3db:
Profile Info: | WBC 160K - 24M Medium delay (INP 1) 3dB Downstream, 448 Low delay (INP 0) 6dB Upstream (ADSL2+) |
It looks like the actual SNR margin is fluctuating as it's currently at 4.6db
Hopefully it doesn't increase more but it may be a matter of time before it does increase.
Unfortunately due to the length of your line there really isn't anything further we can do.
