Slow Broadband

Last week I returned from a 5 week period away. During that period I had my router switched off. When I switched it back on I had frequent disconnections, when it finally settled I was only getting 283kb/s downstream and 444 kb/s upstream. Before going away I was getting 6-7mb/s downstream.
I have tried 2 routers, and am currently using my Billion 7800N cabled.
I raised a question (#80114799) on Monday morning, and have had no communication back. Could someone please look in to this, as a connection at the above speeds is useless!

Re: Slow Broadband

Hi Nigel60,
Sorry you've not heard anything back on your ticket about this yet. I can see that the connection has been much more stable over the last 22+hours so I've submitted an SNR reset for you.
You should start to see some improvement within the next few hours.

Re: Slow Broadband

Thank you for that, the downstream has already gone up to 9431kb/s. However the uploadspeed would appear to have been capped again (443 kp/s), could you please arrange for it to be uncapped again, as it was before I went away.
Thanks in advance

Re: Slow Broadband

Hi there, it's still uncapped, not sure what's happening to keep it at 448k at the moment - if it's not improved when the SNR reset has finished going through we could always try a second one, just in case that side of things didn't take. Should be able to do that after the weekend if it's not improved.

Re: Slow Broadband

hi
had a relatively stable weekend, just a couple of drops, one on Saturday during a thunderstorm. Each reset the upload speed has come back at 443 KB/s, could you please try and do the reset from your end again.

Thanks

Re: Slow Broadband

Just a quick  update, my download speed is now good, and stable, but upload is still stuck at 443Kb/s. Could you have another look at the upload speed from your end?
Regards
Nigel
