Slow Broadband - High Connection Speed

Hi,
My router is connecting at the following speeds:
Modem Status Connected
DownStream Connection Speed 2937 kbps
UpStream Connection Speed 612 kbps
But according to Plusnet Speed Test I am getting a spped of:
1806 kbps (226kB/s) 304 kbps (38kB/s)
Please can someone have a look into this as it is really slow compared to what I am used to.
Thanks,
Nick.

Re: Slow Broadband - High Connection Speed

A few things
What does this show for current line speed https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed
Can you post the attenuation and noise margin from your router
Going only by the connection speeds you are on ADSL2+ with upstream unlocked. It is quite possible that you would get better speeds on ADSL1

Re: Slow Broadband - High Connection Speed

Curren line speed is saying 2.5 mb
information from router:
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 2937 kbps 612 kbps
Line Attenuation 62.5 db 35.1 db
Noise Margin 9.4 db 8.7 db

Re: Slow Broadband - High Connection Speed

Basically with those stats you are almost certainly going to have better speeds on ADSL1
With a profile speed of 2500kbps the speed isn't too far adrift although I would have expected nearer 2,200kbps
Have you tried the BT speedtest
The odd part is the low upstream speedtest result
