If you can try the test socket with a normal filter then I can check out your line for you and see how it's performing.

Hi Jo,
I've had the phone in the test socket since Friday evening. I've got a slightly higher synch speed and things were stable (5440 from 5312). I disconnected this morning though as I read that the synch rate was not adaptive, so need to disconnect to see changes in synch rate if I change the setup (I could of sworn I used to see changes immediately :-[). Anyway, if I disconnect the phone completely and restart, the synch improves to 6112 (from 5440), so the phone is obviously causing some not insignificant issues. I'll buy a different cable for the phone when I can to see if that's the problem. Anyway, I'm pasting my stats from just before I disconnected (phone plugged in) and also my current stats (no phone). However, I'll have to plug the phone back in as we do use it.

If it's a DECT phone I've seen a few people recommend double filtering. Maybe that would help.

Why would a DECT phone interfere with a broadband router ?
I can understand the old analogue non-DECT wireless telephones being an issue, for example the old AM sets used 1.7Mhz which might knock out ADSL2.
A DECT phone uses frequencies 1880 to 1930MHz - similar to GSM mobile phones
21CN ADSL2+ uses frequencies 25KHz to 2.2MHz
Therefore they are magnitudes apart and should not be interfering, unless the phone is faulty or has a very noisy power supply adaptor.
Similarly because of the frequencies, DECT should not interfere with the router's WiFi either as that would be either 2.4GHz or 5GHz.
