Should I leave well alone ?

When my broadband had settled down after going on to ADSL2+ I asked if my speed could be improved a little. I was told by PN that it was better to leave well alone.
Now that my speeds are completely stable, (the down load test speed never varies from precisely 5.2 Mb/s) I wondered if there was any point in asking for the obvious cap to be lifted.
My Thomson 585 v8 figures are as follows:-
Bandwidth 446 / 6654
Max Bandwidth 864 / 8940
Attenuation 26.5 / 41.5
Noise margin between 6 & 7 dB
IP Profile 5,500
DSL Uptime 6 days and still going (since I switched router off to move furniture).
Incidently the WiFi from the router has never dropped once.
I should add that I've got a V10 ADSL filter faceplate on my NTE5 with the router plugged into that.
I know that many people would give their eye teeth for a 5.2 Mb/s download but the fact that it is so stable makes me wonder if the cap is a bit too low.
Is it worth asking PN to up it a bit to give me a IP profile of 6000.
What do people think ?

Hi oldgeezer,
Yes, I can see it's banded. I'll look at getting that lifted and we'll see how it gets on.

Wow Joanne,
Have you strapped on retro-rockets ?
Sync has gone up to 8225 kB/s and noise margin still 6 / 7 dB.
Speedtest has gone up to 6.97 Mb/s and if it settles down to anywhere near this I shall be a very happy bunny indeed.
Thanks for this.
