Searching the archives

Does anyone know if there is a facility to search the OLD forums that are a child forum of this forum?
If you go to
http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/board,24.0.html
There are no seach facilities, if you click the search button at the top it seems to search the current forum only.
Even if you know have a link from the old forum it seems that the link redirect does not work, for example the following link:
http://portal.plus.net/central/forums/viewtopic.php?p=418775#418775
redirects to:
http://community.plus.net/forum/#418775
which just displays the index of the current community forum and not the relavant message.
Digging into the archive I found the threads were numbered sequentially
http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,33149.0.html
and the first thread is located at
http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,3160.0.html
So it appears that 29989 threads were transfered numbered from 3160 to 33149.
Unfortunately the links sent to customers were of message numbers so we need a link syntax for viewing archive messages by message number, thread number and/or a search facility that works in the archive.  Otherwise it is pointless importing it over here.
There is a huge archive of technical info in the archive and it would be a shame to lose it.

Re: Searching the archives

Equally to the point does anyone know how to search the current forum as the search function is broken Sad
