SNR/IP Profile reset?

Hi,
I've just noticed something odd that has changed on my speed test. "Max achievable" is 7.15 though my IP Profile is 4.76.
Plus.net have no estimated line speed on my account (recently changed from actually having one).
Would getting a reset on my line see a speed increase? I'm pretty much getting 100% of the IP Profile with a totally stable connection...
Thanks for your advice!

Assuming that your target downstream SNRM is 12dB then a reset would increase your speed.  On the other hand, if you compare your downstream sync rate with the value you get by putting your downstream attenuation into the calculator here http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/max_speed_calc.php then it doesn't look as if you will see a huge increase.

Hi there,
I've placed a SNR reset on your line, you should see an increase with your speed in the next 4 hours.
Let me know how you get on.

Re: SNR/IP Profile reset?

SNR Margin ~3dB.  Is that normal so soon after a reset?

Re: SNR/IP Profile reset?

I wouldn't have thought so (i thought 6-12 range was the norm) ... I fully expect it to change after the training period, if I'm using the right expression...
