SN Margin Please Set Back To 6

My DSL connection is stable as always apart from BT workers putting the spanner in the cabinet a couple of times this month.
For some reason when this happens now the SN margin rises from 6 to 9.
A few years back I had a problem with the SN Margin constantly being set to 3 after around a months long up time. After asking, Plusnet did something to make 6 the default but this appears to be no longer working.
Could this be done again or at least set it back to 6.
