Router reset it's self?

Not sure if this an indication of the router dieing? Aprox. 30mins ago, my internet dropped, so I waited 10 minutes, still couldn't connect so I reset the router. I still could not connect after a further 10 minutes, the Internet light remained red and then a couple of minutes later all of the lights turned off. Shortly following, the Power light turned on and several minutes later the rest turned on and I could finally reconnect, essentially indicating that the router randomly rebooted it's self?
Thanks

Re: Router reset it's self?

I just came on here to ask exactly that!
Have PlusNet just done a "push" firmware upgrade?  All routing stopped and the router status said the Internet was disconnected, which the red light confirmed. The modem seemed still to be synched up. I manually rebooted it from the power switch, but after it came back up it restarted itself approximately 3 times more.
Router log (standard supply TG582n FTTC) reports:

No real help, other than maybe the anti-spoof error line? That is before it has logged in via CHAP though, so its probably complaining about nothing.
TBB/BTW/Ookla Speed tests were slow to begin with but came back close to what I had tested a few hours ago. Latency to bbc.co.uk is lower (10.5ms compared to 14ms) and the BTW info page reports the same profile speed, so I believe the modem hasn't restarted.
Any thoughts?

Re: Router reset it's self?

Interesting. It could have been that, although it was a bit early. I don't think I have ever had a router reboot itself several times like that before, most odd. Usually It would just disconnect and then reconnect.
